Water Filtration Systems
DI water, also known as "Type II Water," is purified using deionizer resin, which removes all total dissolved solids (TDS) from the water. The process involves ion exchange, where the resin swaps dissolved minerals with hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions. This exchange effectively neutralizes both positively and negatively charged dissolved solids, converting them into the purest form of water which does not leave water spots once dried.
