The carnauba wax used provides a deep rich glossy, highly water repellent and detergent-resistant film.
Double Speed-Wax provides an economic and superior alternative to costly paste waxes which simply do not compete performance wise with this material.
It is supplied in a 250ml tin and includes one App Pad and one microfibre cloth.
Thoroughly wash the vehicle with hot soapy water using only salt-free automotive shampoos. Do not use wash and wax products. Dry vehicle using chamois leather or synthetic equivalent.
Double Speed-Wax is not an abrasive polish, if your paintwork is faded, feels rough or has not been polished for a long period it will be necessary to use an abrasive polish and/or paint clay before application. Once prepared in this way regular application of Double Speed-Wax will maintain a high gloss finish without the need for further use of abrasive polishes.
Work on shaded cool panels. Dampen the sponge applicator provided and wring out as much as possible before use. Using the sponge applicator apply in light circular motions extremely sparingly and allow to dull for approx 5-10 minutes.
Buff to a high shine using the blue microfibre cloth provided turning frequently.
Occasionally under certain humid application conditions, the applied film may bloom after initial application and buffing.
The bloom will disappear once the film is fully cured, or it can be removed immediately with a wipe down / buff with a slightly damp buffing cloth.
This is a characteristic of the T1 carnauba wax used in the manufacture of this product.
Both applicator pad and microfibre cloth can be washed for reuse. Do not use fabric conditioners.
The applicator pad should be stored away from direct sunlight.
Can I use a ‘wash and wax’ product to wash my vehicle before I apply Double Speed-Wax?
We do not advise this, as it creates a surface that will make for poor adherence to the paintwork, rather like painting over a greasy surface. It will not cause a problem, however, the finish will not last as long when Double Speed-Wax is applied when a wash and wax product has been used prior to application.
How many applications of double speed-wax are possible with one tin on an average sized vehicle?
One 250ml tin should enable up to 50 applications on an average sized vehicle.
Can I apply two coats of Double Speed-Wax and how long should I leave between applications?
There is no real improvement to durability in applying two coats of Double Speed-Wax, however, it may be beneficial to do two coats to ensure that the entire surface of the vehicle is covered. Apply Double Speed-Wax as instructed and buff to a shine before repeating application.
What is the shelf life of Double Speed-Wax?
Double Speed-Wax will be fine for several years if kept closed and in cool conditions.
Can I use Double Speed-Wax on PPF wrap?
Double Speed-Wax is safe to use on PPF wrap. Be careful, as wax can build up at the edges, and should be cleaned off while you are still able to buff the material. Any dried build-up can be removed with cleanser-fluid and a microfibre cloth.
Can Double Speed-Wax be applied with a machine?
Yes, but this is unnecessary, as it is very easy to apply by hand.
