I recently purchased a second-hand metallic black Volkswagen. The paint wasn't terrible as it is still a relatively new car, however I wanted it to be show room perfect. When I attempted to correct the paint with my old DA polishing kit, under good LED lighting, you could see a haze over the paint due to lots of micro marring. This was in turn, affecting the overall reflectiveness of the paint. Nothing I seemed to do could rectify it. I purchased this kit and was blown away with the results. I have been polishing cars recreationally for over 20 years and I was absolutely amazed with the quality and ease of use of both the polisher, the pads and the compounds.
The DA is comfortable and easy to use, has constant speed even under load and when unlocking the trigger-lock the machine won't momentary speed up upon release like other machines I have used tend to do.
The pads are nice and dense and hold the polish well but are a breeze to clean. The soft pad is very soft and plush so I was very confident using it to apply the sealer without fear of creating any defects.
The menzerna polishes are amazing. They don't fling off the pad all over the place on initial spin up (this could be a combination of machine, pad and polish together). The micro marring was rectified very easily, and the final results of the paint correction was nothing short of amazing. I was actually blown away by how easy it was to wipe off the product. A light wipe over with a microfibre was all it took…
